Stun Gun Laws
Stun guns and Tasers are either restricted or banned in some US jurisdictions. The laws and regulations change quite often. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a stun gun or Taser. The info below reflects the restrictions we are aware of at this time. Please note the information we provide does not constitute legal advice. It is a buyer’s responsibility to ascertain that he is in compliance with all local laws when he purchases a stun gun or Taser.

Connecticut. It is necessary to obtain a permit to carry a stunning device. However there are no state wide permits. Each town issues its own permit. Anybody who sells a stunning device must notify a local chief of police of a sale within 24 hours after a transaction takes place. We are not able to ship stun guns purchased over the internet to CT.
Illinois. It is necessary have a FOID card to purchase a stun gun. The seller must check FOID card and request a background check. The record of sale must be kept for 10 years. The 24 hour waiting period is required. We do not ship stun guns to IL as we are not equipped to check the authenticity of FOID cards and conduct background checks.
Hawaii. Stunning Devices are banned.
Massachusetts. Stunning Devices are banned
Michigan. It is necessary to obtain a permit to own a Stunning Device. Law also requires us to provide training. Since we cannot do that we do not ship to Michigan
New Jersey. Stunning Devices are banned
New York. Stunning Devices are banned
Rhode Island. Stunning Devices are banned
Wisconsin. You need a Carrying Concealed Weapons permit to buy a stun gun. Since we are not equipped to check the authenticity of the permits we do not ship stun guns to WI.
